Connecting diverse local contractors with community-scale building and facility projects.
Discover how clean-energy projects work, build job-ready skills, and get matched to local opportunities.

How It Works
ALIGN Connect is a free platform for community-scale clean energy and building projects, connecting qualified contractors with real opportunities and helping project teams find the right partners.
Contractors create profiles
Profiles highlight trade, experience, certifications, and service areas so project teams can reach out with relevant opportunities.
Explore projects and opportunities
Browse active and upcoming community-scale building and facility projects, or qualified contractors ready to help.
Connect with the right people
Reach out through the platform to express interest, ask questions, or schedule a conversation. ALIGN Connect brokers connections to ensure quality, alignment, and meaningful opportunities on both sides.
List your project to connect with qualified local contractors.

The Loft
The LOFT is transforming a long-vacant commercial space in Taunton’s Whittenton neighborhood into a Clean Energy Community Resilience Hub (CCRH) and youth empowerment center. Led by The T.R.U.E. Collective, the project combines deep community engagement, major building upgrades, and clean-energy systems such as solar and heat-pump electrification. With architectural designs complete and remediation finished, the project now moves into construction—creating opportunities for diverse contractors and local workforce participation. It will serve as a model for climate-ready design in an Environmental Justice community.

The ReGen Center
The ReGen Center reimagines a 13,550-sq-ft warehouse in Four Corners, Dorchester into a mixed-use campus with affordable housing above a vibrant Clean Energy Community Resilience Hub. Anchored by Bikes Not Bombs, Agricultural Hall, and the Boston Neighborhood Community Land Trust, the project blends clean-energy systems (solar, battery storage, efficient HVAC) with youth programs, maker spaces, and community enterprises. The redevelopment showcases mass timber design, community ownership, and regenerative development. It is advancing toward engineering and construction phases, opening pathways for local contractors to participate in an innovative, high-impact EJ-community project.

Brockton Clean Energy Community Resilience Hub
Brockton’s first CCRH is being developed inside the historic Thomas Edison Building—a 25,000-sq-ft downtown landmark serving one of Massachusetts’ most diverse Gateway Cities. Led by the Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC), the project integrates HVAC upgrades, solar readiness, battery storage, EV charging, and new community spaces for training, resilience support, and clean-energy education. Early funding is secured through a federal Safe Streets grant, with additional components advancing through planning and design. The hub will create clean-energy jobs, expand local contractor opportunities, and anchor long-term community resilience across Brockton.

Does ALIGN Connect cost money?

No—ALIGN Connect is free to use for contractors, community groups, and project owners.
What makes these projects special?

They combine measurable community benefits (comfort, safety, bills saved) with hands-on clean-energy work for local contractors.
What is a community clean energy resilience hub?

A resilience hub is a community facility (e.g., school, rec center, faith space) equipped with clean energy and backup systems to support residents during everyday use and outages. A Clean Energy Community Resilience Hub is a local facility designed to support residents during emergencies while advancing sustainability goals. Powered by renewable energy sources such as solar panels and backed by battery storage, these hubs provide reliable electricity even during grid outages. They serve as safe gathering spaces offering essential services—like heating/cooling, communications, medical support, and charging stations—while also hosting programs that promote energy efficiency, climate preparedness, and community well-being. By combining clean energy infrastructure with social services, resilience hubs strengthen neighborhoods against climate impacts and foster equity, sustainability, and collective resilience. They can also demonstrate new sustainable technologies and best practices, helping to forge local trust in the technologies while creating educational and career opportunities.
